The 7th Annual Dad’s Day Poker Run was a wet one, to say the least! The rain came down in buckets at times, but that did not stop the 127 bikes entered in this worthy event. All together, $20,000 was raised for diabetes research this year, with a total of $116,000 over the past 7 years. Iron Workers, Plumbers, Steamfitters, Insulators, Sheet Metal Workers and IBEW from as far away as Ohio and New Jersey participated in this year’s event. Next year, I hope we can double the number participating in this event and raise more dollars each year!
